Charging a DAB motorcycle is significantly more cost-effective than running a petrol motorcycle, a car, or relying on public transport. The main running cost is electricity for charging.

To give a clear idea, the examples below use typical residential electricity prices and average daily commuting distances.

France

Charging a DAB motorcycle from low to full battery typically costs around €1 to €1.50, depending on your electricity tariff. With a real-world mixed range of up to 150 km, this means the cost per kilometre is extremely low. The average daily commute in France is approximately 13 km.

For a typical working month (around 20 days), the cost of charging would be only a few euros per month. This makes a DAB one of the most economical ways to commute, especially when compared to a petrol motorcycle, car, or public transport.

United Kingdom

Charging a DAB motorcycle at home typically costs around £1.50 to £2 for a full charge, depending on your electricity supplier and tariff. With a range of up to 150 km, a full charge comfortably covers several days of average commuting. The average daily commute in the UK is around 11–12 miles (18–19 km). Over a typical month of commuting, charging costs generally remain well under £10 per month.

In short

Running a DAB motorcycle costs just a few euros, pounds, or dollars per month in electricity for everyday commuting—making it a much more economical option than petrol motorcycles, cars, or public transport.

The DAB 1 has a top speed of 120 km/h.

The DAB 1 electric motorcycle features five riding modes designed to adapt to different riding conditions and performance needs: Eco, Street, Sport, Nitrous Boost, and Reverse.

Reverse mode makes low-speed maneuvering and parking easier, especially in tight urban environments.

Street mode is the everyday riding mode, offering a balanced combination of power, efficiency, and smooth acceleration — ideal for daily commuting and city riding.

Eco mode optimizes battery efficiency and provides smoother power delivery, making it well suited for wet conditions, energy saving, and extended range.

Sport mode unlocks the motorcycle’s full performance potential, delivering the most responsive acceleration and maximum power output.

Nitrous Boost mode temporarily delivers maximum power for up to 10 seconds when riding in Eco or Street mode, providing strong and immediate acceleration for overtaking or dynamic riding situations.

Eco mode limits the maximum speed. It also affects throttle response and maximum discharge current to reduce consumption and optimize range. Consequently, it is normal to lose speed on a slight uphill slope in this mode, even at full throttle, as the available power is voluntarily limited.

Reverse mode helps manoeuvre the motorcycle at very low speed when parking or moving the bike backwards. It is designed only for short movements at walking pace.

With the vehicle started and ready:

  1. Long press the "MODE" button until the display shows "R".
  2. Twist the throttle to ride backward.
  3. Short press "MODE" to exit reverse

To activate Reverse, you just have to maintain the Mode button and Reverse will be activated.
